C-ARM REFURBISHING PROCESS

I. AS IS
C-Arms sold in this category are:

• In working condition
• calibrated and dose rate adjusted to FDA regulations
• No Warranty

II. PATIENT READY
C-Arms sold in this category will:

• have been externally cleaned and disinfected
• be calibrated and dose rate adjusted to FDA regulations
• be fully functional with a good image
• have the paint touched up
• be sold with a 1 month warranty

III. REFURBISHED
To provide our customers with options as to the level of refurbishing and sales price, we have developed two levels of refurbished C-Arms

• Basic Refurbished (Applied to 9000, 9400 and 9600)
• Premium Refurbished (Applied to 9000 and 9400)

There are two levels of refurbishment on the OEC 9000 and OEC 9400 (Basic, Premium).
The OEC 9600 has only one level of refurbishment (Basic).
Details of the OEC 9000 and 9400 C-Arms Refurbishing Process

Each OEC 9000 or 9400 C-Arm sold in one of the following listed refurbished levels will have had each subsequent item completed and tested prior to that machine's shipment from the refurbishing facility.

1.	Each system is tested and a report is generated to record the status of the systems components.
2.	System is dismantled and disinfected.
3.	Subassemblies are dismantled and disinfected.
4.	Corroded fasteners are replaced.
5.	System structural components are sanded with nicks, old labels, and dents removed.
6.	Components are prepped and a primer coat is applied.
7.	Two coats of high quality polyurethane paint are applied. The paint is cured for 24 hours.
8.	A new rubber c-arm bumper, and chrome trim is applied.
9.	Components (switches, connectors, breakers and fuses) are tested and replaced as necessary.
10.	The imaging system is reassembled, adjusted, calibrated and burned in for 24 hours.
11.	The x-ray system is calibrated and the dose rate set.
12.	The c-arm and monitor cart power supplies are checked and adjusted to specifications.
13.	The vertical column is checked, regreased, limit switches adjusted replaced and the brake system reinstalled and adjusted.
14.	Collimator rebuilt: brushes checked & replaced as necessary, bearings lubricated or replaced, and shutters adjusted.
15.	C-Arm bearings (cradle, flip flop, & horizontal slide) are lubricated and adjusted to mate properly with the c-arm rail.
16.	L-arm rotation bearings are adjusted or replaced as necessary.
17.	New labels are applied.
18.	New batteries are installed & tested.
19.	Battery charger voltage is adjusted to specifications.
20.	The steering system is adjusted and aligned. The steering wheel is replaced on an "as needed" basis.
21.	The c-arm rail is polished or rechromed, as necessary.
22.	The footswitch is rebuilt and adjusted.
23.	The x-ray tube is checked for excessive bearing noise and tungsten buildup on the outlet port. If necessary, the tube is replaced and the x-ray system is recalibrated.
24.	The x-ray beam is aligned.
25.	The video camera system is focused and adjusted to the highest achievable resolution.
26.	New Vidicon Camera installed.
27.	The image intensifier is checked for artifacts and will be replaced, as necessary.
28.	The image intensifier mode sizes are checked and adjusted, as necessary.
29.	The video monitor geometry is set-up and adjusted.
30.	New CRT's are installed in monitors.
31.	Locks, handles, and brakes are adjusted or replaced.
32.	New high voltage cable hangers are installed.
33.	The high voltage cables are cleaned and new grease applied.
34.	New high voltage cables are installed.
35.	A new X-ray grid is installed.
36.	C-arm and cart wheels and casters are checked, cleaned, and replaced as necessary.
37.	New wheels and casters for c-arm and monitor cart are installed.
38.	Each reassembled system is tested and all functions checked.
39.	Each system is burned in for 24 hours.
40.	3-month parts and labor warranty (excluding glassware).
41.	6-month parts and labor warranty (excluding glassware).

OEC 9600 C-Arms

Each OEC 9600 C-arm sold (Basic Refurbished) will have had each subsequent item completed and tested prior to that machine's shipment from the refurbishing facility.

A. OEC 9600 BASIC REFURBISHED:

1. Dismantled and disinfected
2. Sanded and dents removed
3. Prepped and primer coat applied
4. Two coats new paint applied
5. Components checked, adjusted, and replaced as required
6. New Batteries
7. Calibrated and dose rate output set
8. Camera focused

Additional options that may be purchased with OEC 9600 C-Arms:

1. New X-Ray Tube
2. New Image Intensifier

Note 1: The radiation dose rate being generated by each C-Arm should be checked and verified upon delivery and installation at the buyer's facility. Buyers that purchase C-Arms without a warranty or installation services from Bighorn Biomedical Services, Inc. are responsible for filling out and filing the FDA and their states regulatory documentation on their own.

Note 2: Bighorn Biomedical Services, Inc. can provide delivery, installation, calibration verification, and one day applications training for C-Arms purchased. Upon completion of installation, Bighorn Biomedical Services, Inc. will fill out and submit the FDA and applicable state regulatory documentation. However, the purchaser is still responsible for registering the equipment with the applicable agency in their state.

Note 3: Customers requesting a warranty with their C-Arm purchase must have Bighorn Biomedical Services, Inc. perform the delivery, installation, and basic applications training on their C-Arm. All Bighorn Biomedical Services, Inc. warranty items are null and void if the customer does a "self installation" or uses another service provider, not pre-approved by Bighorn Biomedical Services Inc., for delivery, installation and basic applications training.
